OLIVE GROVE MINISTRIES

"Hani" and "Jameela" have been involved in ministry in North Africa/Middle East for 25 years. They are currently in their 19th year of living in the region.

They have a heart for the Unreached People Groups in the region—there are still 449 people groups with less than 2% followers of Christ in the region (about 387 million people).

They are actively involved in training and equipping local believers across the region to reach out to those unreached groups. This is done through discipleship, one-on-one mentoring, as well as training courses.

Hani is also involved in work with Christian Youth, while Jameela also has an active inner healing and deliverance ministry. The harvest is truly plentiful but the workers—and the resources—are few.

LETSON KAMWANA

MASIPHUMELELE PRIMARY AND HIGH SCHOOLS

Through this incredible ministry many learners have committed their lives to Jesus Christ, they are then welcomed into Bible Study Groups where they are discipled to maturity in Christ.

MASIPHUMELELE SAVE HOUSES

Because of crime that has increased many people to live in fear. In the save houses children can feel secure and experience the Love of Christ. 'Perfect Love cast out all fear'.

BIBLE SCHOOLS

In South Africa many churches have pastors lead churches without formal theological training. We are in partnership with Village School of the Bible, running satellite Bible schools in Masiphumelele and in the Knysna area, seeing many pastors being trained and equipped for the work of ministry.

WISDOM HOUSE SA

At Wisdom House, we reach out to residents of Masiphumelele in the community of Fish Hoek, South Africa. We train the most disenfranchised people of Masiphumelele to live “outside of poverty” by seeking God’s wisdom for their lives in practical ways. We bring the opportunity for intentional relationship building through our soup kitchen, mentorship in Bible, computer skills, parenting and life-skills, job interview and job search skills, clubs for boys, girls and teens, and many other practical skills all bathed in the love of Jesus!

MANCHESTER PETERSEN

YWAM MISSIONARY

Hi, I'm Manchester, a South African YWAM missionary in my twenties who loves Jesus, coffee, and the nations. Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of serving in community development, pastoral care, training, leadership, and staffing Discipleship Training Schools (DTS). My passion is creating spaces where missionaries can truly know God before going to the nations, believing that healthy disciples make healthy missionaries. I currently serve with YWAM FM, a ministry without a permanent location, pioneering training wherever there is a need and serving in places with little or no ministry presence. I also help develop PPM, a ministry focused on pioneering training and communication to equip missionaries and strengthen YWAM teams.

I have the privilege of partnering with YWAM bases across Africa and Asia, teaching, equipping, and mentoring young leaders. My heart is to develop leaders, strengthen communication, and help people discover God's voice so every nation can encounter Jesus and His Kingdom become a reality.

Rather than focusing only on substance abuse, Celebrate Recovery offers support for a wide range of emotional, relational, and behavioural struggles.

THE PANTRY

Ps Ryan - Caring for Our Church Family

At Overflow Church, we believe that no one should have to face difficult seasons alone. The Pantry is a practical care ministry that exists to support members of our church family who are experiencing financial hardship or temporary crisis.

Through the generosity of our congregation, we collect non-perishable food items and essential groceries throughout the year. These donations are lovingly packed into food parcels and distributed, together with a grocery voucher, to help meet immediate needs with dignity and compassion.

MY FATHER’S HOUSE

Caring for the hungry

Overflow Church supports My Father’s House financially. What began as an emergency food relief effort has blossomed into a dynamic community development organisation. Serving over 39 communities, they offer food security, addiction recovery, empowerment for women, and youth support.

THE HAVEN NIGHT SHELTER

Caring for the homeless

Overflow Church supports the work of The Haven Night Shelter in the South Peninsula, by stocking Haven Passports. A passport entitles a homeless person to a meal, a shower, clothing, a bed (if available), social work services and assistance in finding a way back to a home, family and community.

Purchase a passport: (Available for purchase on Sunday mornings)

In all, we are thankful to God for what He is doing and for the support from Overflow Church. God bless you all.

Thank you.
